Miamili is committed to the letter and spirit of U.S. policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity throughout the Nation. We encourage and support an affirmative advertising and marketing program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin.

Our Commitment

We conduct business in accordance with the Federal Fair Housing Law (The Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988). It is illegal to Discriminate Against Any Person Because of Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Handicap, Familial Status, or National Origin:

  • In the sale or rental of housing or residential lots;
  • In the advertising the sale or rental of housing;
  • In the financing of housing;
  • In the provision of real estate brokerage services;
  • In the appraisal of housing.

Blockbusting & Steering

Blockbusting is also illegal. We do not engage in the practice of persuading owners to sell or rent housing by telling them that people of a particular race, religion, etc. are moving into the neighborhood. We also avoid "steering," which is the practice of directing guidance to clients to specific neighborhoods based on their race, religion, etc.
